In accordance with existing regulations and guidance, Apollo Care uses environmentally controlled areas to prevent the introduction of particles and microbial contaminants in our workspaces. Our cleanrooms are classified as ISO Class 5, 7, or 8, which is dependent upon the maximum particle allowance of that room. ISO Class 5 has the strictest particle allowance, whereas ISO Class 8 has the least strict requirements among our controlled environments. This system is designed to ensure patient safety by progressively increasing requirements leading up to the direct compounding area.
The cleanrooms achieve their necessary control based upon the cleaning processes and air systems. Air flow and quality are preserved through air filtration systems as well as temperature and humidity monitoring.
